Lululemon, the gigantor expensive yoga clothing store, has all these positive messages written on its reusable, recyclable bags that you get when you buy something there. Things like "Dance, sing, floss and travel" - ostensibly they don't mean you have to do all four at the same time - and "Do one thing a day that scares you". I could fulfill this by watching some of the Dark Knight every day. Heath Ledger as the Joker really freaks me out. Some of the messages, however, are terrible advice. For example, "Take various vitamins. You never know what small mineral can eliminate the bottleneck to everlasting health." I don't think your liver would appreciate it if you downed half a bottle of Flintstones on the regular. Some of the messages are just plain incorrect. "Stress is related to 99% of all illness." Yeah, maybe if the reason a lot of people are stressed out is because they also don't have access to clean drinking water and adequate nutrition. "The pursuit of happiness is the source of all unhappiness." In fact,
Love Junk is one of the greatest Canadian albums of all time, and the Pursuit of Happiness is the source of MUCH happiness.

Nice use of "ostensibly". You should be a grad student.
I would never fit in with that spectrum of the populace.
