This post is for everyone out there that gets to my blog by Googling "reasons people hate Twilight" and reaching my
previous post. There are a lot of you, according to my site stats. Hopefully all of you out there will reach this post (and it'll reach you).
I'll try to make this short, because you and I both have the attention span of a fruit fly these days.
I posted that graph after finding it in my online travels, because I thought it was funny. I like the Twilight Saga. I know the books aren't classic literature, and I know the first movie was working with a lot of... errr... budget constraints. Regardless, I enjoy them, probably about as much as I enjoy poking fun of them. My giant folder of macros, vast love for the Twilight-related writings on cracked.com, and consistent seeking of less chaste Twilight-based writings are proof of that.
That being said -
I think that you should come up with your own reasons to dislike Twilight, rather than being lazy and Googling them off the internet. There are a lot of valid reasons, and I probably agree with most of them. They would, however, be most valid if you actually read the books.
I had a lot of preconceived notions about Twilight before I read them, about the "type" of people indulged. I've done it with other things before - bands, movies, tv shows. Now, I'm ashamed of passing that kind of judgement, as I never would have discovered a lot of stuff out there that I really like.
